It's not unusual for a small business to use multiple printers, each of which requires a different driver for the computer to communicate with the printer. If your business uses Mac computers, the drivers remain on the computer, even if the printer is no longer in use and disconnected. You can remove the printer from the computer's printer list, eliminating the confusion and clutter of extra printers on the list. The printer driver is not deleted when you remove the printer from the list; it continues to take up space on your hard drive. You need to manually remove the printer driver.

Click the Apple logo at the top of the screen and select 'System Preferences.'
